Axer Tree Shears – Finnish-made tree shears for excavators Axer tree shears are designed and manufactured in Finland for professional use. The range includes models for excavators from the smaller weight classes all the way up to machines over 30 tonnes. Each Axer model is designed for its own excavator class. Axer designs and manufactures its own cutting cylinders, allowing the cylinder, geometry and frame structure to work together for high cutting force without unnecessary size or weight. At Contrans, we mainly keep K-models in stock. The K-model has a strong, bolted and easily replaceable hardened cutting blade. Axer also offers patented L-models with a retractable cutting blade, allowing the same attachment to be used for loading, clearing and normal grapple work. The frames and grapples are made from wear-resistant Hardox/Dillidur steel, with pins made from tempering steel. The advertised price includes a quick coupler to suit the customer’s excavator. Axer tree shears are supplied by Contrans ready for installation. Some models are available directly from stock, while others are available with fast factory delivery. Axer 120 K – tree shear for compact excavators Axer 120 K is a lightweight but strong tree shear for smaller excavators. Its large grapple opening and relatively low weight make it a practical choice for energy wood harvesting, thinning, roadside clearing and site clearance. Thanks to its robust construction, it can also be installed on excavators up to around 30 tonnes. Axer recommends the model for excavators over 12 tonnes, and its construction also allows installation on machines over 30 tonnes.
